English silver key wound pocket watch. By Child, Birmingham c1913

The watch is working and will keep good time however the button on the stem is worn and broken, making opening the back cover difficult.

Movement – the gilt full plate going barrel movement has a lever escapement, is signed “S Child, 10 Bull St, Birmingham” and is in 95% mint condition. 

Comes with a gilt dust cap.

Case – the movement comes in a silver case which has hallmarks for Birmingham 1913

The case has a hinged back and bezel. The watch is wound from the back, set from the front and swings out from the front also. The case is decorated with crisp coin edged sides, engine turning and a vacant crest. The case is in 80% mint condition – the case is very crisp and clean but the button is split and worn making opening the back cover very difficult

Dial – the white enamel dial has gilt hands and a blue steel sub seconds hand. The dial is signed “S Child, 10 Bull Street, Birmingham” and is in 80% mint condition – hairlines on the 1-2 and 8-9

The watch has a bevelled mineral glass

The watch measures 53mm x 17mm
