This is an English silver pocket watch which has clear hallmarks for London 1848
The watch has a good balance and spring but is fully wound and NOT ticking
Movement – the gilt bridge movement has a lever escapement and is in 95% mint condition – light scratches only
Case – the movement comes in an English silver case, which has a snap on bezel, hinged back and inner cover.
The watch is wound and set from the back. If you remove the bezel, the movement will hinge out from the case at a hinge at the 9 position
The inner cover is signed “Parkinson & Frodsham, Change Alley, London, No 2527.
The back cover is decorated with engine turning. The case is in 95% mint condition – super crisp condition
Dial – the black enamel dial has white enamel numbers and white metal hands. The dial is signed “John Walker, 230 Regent St” and is in 100% mint condition
The watch has a mineral glass
The watch measures 50mm wide x 13mm deep
The watch is key wound / key set and comes with a key
