This an English silver verge with hallmarks for London 1834
Movement – the gilt full plate verge movement has cylindrical pillars, a fusee chain, a verge escapement and a beautifully pierced and engraved watch cock. The movement also has a steel regulator and is numbered 7521. The movement is in 90% mint condition – small marks only
Inner case – the movement comes in an inner case, which has a hinged bezel and the watch is wound from the back, set from the front and is accessed from the front also. The case has its original bow and stem. It has a smooth plain finish and is in 90% mint condition – light wear
Outer case – the original and matching outer case has its original clasp. It has a smooth plain finish and is in 90% mint condition – light wear.
It has a watch paper from Wm Cater, Bury St Edmonds
Dial – the white enamel dial has gilt hands and is in 95% mint condition – two very light hairlines between the 7-8
The watch has a mineral bulls eye glass
The watch measures 55mm wide x 26mm high including the glass
The watch is key wound / key set and comes with an old key
