The watch has a good chain but the balance moves very quickly and athough the watch runs it gains several hours in 24 hours
This an English silver verge with hallmarks for London 1819
Movement – the gilt full plate verge movement has cylindrical pillars, a fusee chain, a verge escapement and a beautifully pierced and engraved watch cock. The movement is signed “Hayley, London 2002” . The movement is in 85% mint condition – many small scratches
Hunter case – the movement comes in a silver hunter case, which has a hinged front and bezel. The watch is wound from the back, set from the front and is accessed from the front also.
The front cover is hard to open when you press the stem in on the button but has a good spring and clasp.
The case has a replaced bow. It is has a smooth plain finish and is in 90% mint condition – light wear onlt
Dial – the white enamel dial has gold hands and is in 95% mint condition – some debris and some scratches
The watch has a mineral glass - scratched
The watch measures 52mm wide x 21mm high
The watch is key wound / key set and comes with an antique watch key
