This is an English silver pocket watch with hallmarks for London 1854
The watch has a good chain. The balance will move under pressure but does not swing freely.
The watch is sold “as is”
Movement – the gilt full plate fusee movement has a verge escapement and an elaborately pierced and engraved watch cock. The movement is signed “John Stavey, London” # 928 and is in 90% mint condition
Case – the English silver hunter case, has a hinged back and front and bezel. The watch is wound from the back and set from the front. The case is in 50% mint condition – very bruised and many dents
Dial – the off white enamel dial has a pair of blue steel hands and is 80% mint condition – a forked crack on the 11
The watch has a mineral glass
The watch is key wound / key set and comes with a key
The watch measures 47mm wide x 18mm deep
