This pocket watch is working but has NOT been cleaned or serviced. Also this is not the original case – a good match but the winding hole doesn’t line up 100%. This is all reflected in the low price and the watch does not come with any warranties
Movement – the gilt full plate fusee movement has a lever escapement and is signed “Thos Russell & Son, Liverpool and London 71708”. The movement is in 90% mint condition
The gilt dust cap is signed “By appointment Makers to the Queen and HRH Prince Alfred”
Case – the movement comes in a silver case which has hallmarks for London 1883.
The case has a hinged back and bezel. The watch is wound from the back, set from the front and swings out from the front also. The case is decorated with fancy ornate engraving
The case is in 95% mint condition – a lovely example
Dial – the white enamel dial has gilt and blue steel hands and is signed “Thos Russell & Son, 71708” The dial is in 95% mint condition – dirty
The watch measures 43mm x 15mm
The watch has a mineral glass
The watch is key wound / key set and comes with a key
