This watch has a good balance and chain but is fully wound and not ticking. It needs a good clean and service. It is sold as NOT working.

This is an English silver case but is pre hallmarks

Movement – the gilt full plate movement has square baluster pillars and a winged pierced watch cock with a pierced wedge shaped foot. The movement also has a silver regulator disc and is signed “Peter Moore, London” # 5571. The movement is in 95% mint condition – a lovely example

Inner case – the movement comes in a silver inner case, which has a hinged bezel and the watch is wound from the back and set from the front and the movement is accessed from the front also. The case is numbered 5571. It has a smooth plain finish and is in 90% mint condition – the usual evidence of a repair around the stem inside the case. The rest of the case has small dings and dents.

Outer case – the movement comes in its original silver outer case, which has a smooth plain finish and is in 85% mint condition – there are traces of engraved initials MH. The button on the clasp is missing, although the clasp is fine and there are many small soft bruises

Dial – the white enamel dial has its original pair of blue steel beetle and poker hands. The dial is in 50% mint condition – crazed with hairlines but still a lovely dial worthy of restoration

The watch has a bulls eye mineral glass

The watch measures 50mm wide x 25mm deep

The watch is key wound / key set and comes with an old key
