A scarce First World War Telegraph / Telegraphy morse code / Marconi Operator's pocket watch by T. R. Russell of Liverpool
The watch is overbanked and not ticking.
Movement – the gilt bridge movement is Swiss. The lever movement is signed TR Russell, Liverpool, 18 Church St, Patented” and is in 80% mint condition – many marks
Case – the movement comes in a heavy white metal case, which has a hinged inner, back and snap on bezel. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 80% mint condition – dull and with some scratches but can be easily polished
Dial – the white enamel dial has rare telegraph markings on the inner chapter ring. The dial is signed T R Russell and is in 85% mint condition – a hairline through the centre
The watch has a mineral glass
The watch measures 58mm wide x 20mm deep
The watch is stem wound / pin set
