This watch is running slow and keeps time to within 30 minutes a day. It has not been cleaned and serviced.
Movement – the gilt full plate movement has a fusee chain with a lever escapement and a gold balance wheel. The movement is signed “Swinden & Sons, 27 Temple St, Birmingham. Patent Banking Stud, No 26002. The movement is in 90% mint condition – light tarnish
Inner case – the movement comes in an inner case, which has a hinged bezel and the watch is wound from the back, set from the front and is accessed from the front also.. It has a smooth plain finish and is in 80% mint condition – the case has been adapted for the movement and there are traces of the old winding hole – now filled and an old solder repair inside the case and small marks and scratches
Outer case – the silver outer case has its original button and clasp. It is decorated with repousse work is in 80% mint condition – the detailing is rubbed
Dial – the white enamel dial has blue steel hands. The dial is in 98% mint condition – a tiny hairline
The watch has a mineral glass – which has some scratches
The watch measures 52mm wide x 23mm high including the glass
The watch is key wound / key set and comes with keys
