This is a low grade silver chain. What does that mean? Most silver chains we sell are English silver with clear hallmarks on every link. We also sell fancier chains which may be stamped Sterling. This chain has no silver marks. So we test it with acid for its purity and in this case get a low testing. So the silver content in the chain did not have enough to earn some sort of stamp. The chain is still an antique silver chain but the low grade purity is represented in the price.
This silver pocket watch has a T bar at one end and an unusual screw type dog clip at the other. The chain is made up of a single length of interwoven mesh and wire links. The chain measures 330mm from end to end and is in 95% mint condition
