The chain is made of Continental silver; this is a lower grade of silver than English silver and so consequently it doesn’t have any silver hallmarks.
The chain measures 230mm in length from the T bar to the dog clip. This fancy watch chain is made up of 2 sections of two curb links and mesh links, joined together by carved panels decorated with bright cut engraving on one side and enamel flowers on the other side. In the middle of the two is a carved silver ball. Hanging from the T bar there is an additional length of curb links from which hangs a silver tassel. The chain is in 90% mint condition – a little damage on the enamel
