The chain is made of Continental silver; this is a lower grade of silver than English silver and so consequently it doesn’t have any silver hallmarks on the chain but the T bar has hallmarks for 1894.
The chain measures 250mm in length from the T bar to the dog clip. This fancy watch chain is made up of 2 sections of two curb links and mesh links, joined together by silver balls and a larger carved ball. On either side there is a single mesh link. Hanging from the bolt ring is an additional length of mesh links from which hangs a beautiful silver tassel. The chain is in 90% mint condition – the dog clip is a replaced metal example, which is reflected in the price
