This is a metal watch chain or chatelaine which was produced in the USA circa 1900 – 1910 and was either sold as a souvenir or given away as a promotional piece
The chain is made up of a metal disc and 4 flat pieces joined together by curb links and which measures 140mm x 25mm on the widest link. Each disc has a different image. In this case the coin has a George IV coin and seal dated 1826 with 4 panels decorated with Egyptian symbols – a strange mix but no reason to doubt they are meant to be together .
The chain is in 90% mint condition.
