This seal was designed to be used with hot wax for sealing letters.
I have made an impression of this seal using hot wax to show that the seal works as intended and also to give a clearer image of the intaglio.
The wax impression comes in a small plastic case and is included with the seal.

This gold seal has an oval base set with an opaque white stone engraved with an intaglio of wheatsheaf
The seal has a gold edge with stepped edges. The gold handle is formed by two struts coming together to be topped by the suspension loop.
The seal measures 19mm x 13mm x 11mm and is in 99% mint condition – it looks like it has never been used.
