This is seal was designed to be used with hot wax for sealing letters.
I have made an impression of this seal using hot wax to show that the seal works as intended and also to give a clearer image of the intaglio.
The wax impression comes in a small plastic case and is included with the seal.
This seal has an oval metal base set with an opaque white stone engraved with an intaglio of a head profile
The fob has a strut handle and suspension loop with some nice engraved detailing
The fob measures 24mm x 20mm x 16mm and is in 70% mint – the gilt metal is tarnished and the stone has dirt behind the stone
