This is large French silver chatelaine which has three articulated panels and a tongue on the back.
The panels are decorated with cast figures: a figure in meditation, possibly St Christopher and a seated man reading the bible with a dog at his side – possibly St Francis of Assisi.
Hanging from the main panels are 5 long lengths of chains made up of solid links interspersed with curb links. Each solid link is decorated with a cast silver face of a bearded man – possibly the Green Man.

A silver propelling pencil decorated with cast swirls and flowers and topped with a woman holding a bucket. Measures 75mm x 7mm
A silver bucket decorated with cast swirls and flowers. Lined with velvet and which holds its original silver thimble. Measures 24mm x 20mm
A silver pin cushion with two cast panels each depicting Europa and the Bull. 30mm x 30mm
A silver folding button hook with carved floral detailing. When folded measures 39mm x 26mm
A silver and cranberry glass scent bottle with a beautiful cast silver hinged stopper and mount in the form of leaves. Measures 45mm x 30mm x 8mm
The chatelaine measures 270mm in length from to the end of the middle chain x 40mm wide at its widest point
