This is seal was designed to be used with hot wax for sealing letters.
I have made an impression of this seal using hot wax to show that the seal works as intended and also to give a clearer image of the intaglio.
The wax impression comes in a small plastic case and is included with the seal.
This is a 15K gold seal / pocket watch key and watch chain.
This is a gold seal which has a solid gold handle, base and suspension loop and a 15K gold chain. The key / seal and chain have no assay marks but is 15K and is sold with our 100% guarantee to that effect.
The key has a shield shaped base set with a green bloodstone.
This is engraved with an intaglio family crest with a garter topped with a shell / clam motif.
Within the border of the garter is the word “Perseverance” in reverse. Within the border are the initials JS
The key is cone shaped and decorated with carved detailing.
On the top is a female watch key – a size 0-1 approx
The key has two suspension loops and hangs from a 15K gold watch chain with an inverted V which holds the seal / key
The chain has box mesh links and has gold split ring at one end.
The key measures 21mm x 13mm x 12mm and the chain is 175mm long.
The total weight is 9.5g
They key / seal and chain are in 95% mint condition – superb condition
