This is seal was designed to be used with hot wax for sealing letters.
I have made an impression of this seal using hot wax to show that the seal works as intended and also to give a clearer image of the intaglio.
The wax impression comes in a small plastic case and is included with the seal.
This is a beautiful seal which would be perfect to be worn as a pendant and it comes with an ever useful Georgian split ring.
The seal is made from gilt metal gold
The seal has a richly ribbed base and an arched handle topped with a suspension loop.
Through this is looped a gilt split ring with a 20mm diameter
The seal is set with a foil backed clear glass stone engraved with the intaglio of the word TRUTH
The seal measures 25mm x 19mm x 14mm
The seal is in 90% mint condition – metal coming through in small areas in the gilding
