This is a Georgian 18K gold on metal seal – it is a very heavy and impressive seal and looks and feels like solid gold but is in fact a metal seal covered with a thick layer of gold
This is a lovely piece with a carved base set with a red hardstone.
The seal has an ornately carved base and handle with flowers and swags and a large thick gold cased suspension loop
The seal measures 33mm x 22mm x 18mm and is in 95% crisp mint condition – the lightest of traces of metal coming through the gold
