Impressive Silver Gilt Seal of an Eagle and Cherubs. Circa 1880

This is a VERY LARGE Seal which is made from silver gilt with clear silver marks. The round base is set with a red hardstone. The seal is in the form of an eagle with outstretched wings. There is a cherub on the eagle’s back which is holding the suspension loop. The eagle is holding the second cherub in the talons. The seal is beautifully detailed and measures 47mm x 47mm. The seal is in 95% mint condition.
