This is a good example of a single sovereign holder which is larger than usual
It has clear English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1876
It has a sprung lid with a sprung coin holder within. This is shaped and engraved like a horse shoe
The holder is decorated with foliage engraving and a cartouche on the front with engraved initials – IRD. These initials are entwined so they could come in any order
It measures 48mm long inc suspension loop x 33mm x 15mm
The sovereign case is in 95% mint condition – superb condition
Please note the sovereign illustrated with this case is for illustration purposes only but I do have a selection for sale, please ask.
