This is a superb example of a minute repeater. The watch is made by Vulcain and is Swiss with good repeating chime. It comes in its original box.
Movement – the high grade nickel 3 finger bridge movement has a lever escapement with a slide activated minute repeater function with two hammers chiming on the inner gongs. The movement is jewelled to the hammers and has a high jewel count, probably 28J. The movement is in 95% mint condition – light tarnish only
Case – the movement comes in a solid 18K gold hunter case, which has a hinged inner, back and front cover. The inner cover is signed “Repetition, Heures-quarts-minutes, Vulcain”. The inner cover is also decorated with a series of individual medals for prizes one. These medals are illustrated in the lid of the box also. The front cover of the case pops open to 45 degrees when you press the winder in and you need to lift it to the full 90 degrees. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition – 2 small blemishes.
Dial – the gold coloured dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is decorated with a polished gold border and an engine turned centre. The dial is signed “Vulcain” and is in 100% mint condition

The watch measures 51mm wide x 9.6mm deep
The watch comes in its original leather box lined with silk and velvet. The inside of the lid is signed “Vulcain” and has details of the medals won, which are also engraved on the inner cover.
