This is an antique pocket watch made by the Illinois Watch company. Only 100 watches were made in this particular run
Movement – the 16 size 16 Jewel nickel bridge movement has a lever escapement with a micrometer regulator and is decorated with damascening. The movement is signed “Illinois Watch Co, Springfield, Adjusted” # 1183018. The movement is in 80% mint condition – many small marks, scuffs and scratches
Case – the movement comes in a coin silver hunter case, which has a hinged inner, back and front cover. The front cover pops open crisply to 90 degrees when you press the winder in.
The silver case is decorated with carved edges and floral engraving. The case has gold hinges and small initials FS on the front cover. The case is in 90% mint condition – light wear only
Dial – the white enamel dial has an elegant pair of blue steel hands and is signed “Illinois Watch Co”. The dial is in 100%
The watch is stem wound / lever set
The watch measures 51mm wide x 15mm deep
The watch has a mineral glass
