This pocket watch movement was made in America by the Waltham watch company and was specifically made for the UK market. It was sent to the UK where it was cased and sold in an English full hunter case which has clear English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1937
Movement – the nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and 7 Jewels. It is signed “A.W.W.Co, Waltham, Mass, USA, Traveler” # 27706583. The movement is in 95% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in an English silver full hunter case by Dennison which has a hinged inner, back and front cover. The front cover pops open to 90 degrees when you press the winder in. The case has coin edged sides, engine turning and a vacant crest on the front. The case is in 95% mint condition – a superb example
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “Waltham, USA” The dial is in 100% mint condition
The watch has a mineral glass
The watch measures 50mm wide x 13mm deep
The watch is stem wound / stem set
