This pocket watch was made for the English market. The movement was made by Renown in Switzerland and sent to England where it was cased in a gold plated full hunter case by Dennison.
Movement – the good quality nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement with a micrometer regulator and gold jewel settings held in place by screws. The movement is signed “23 Jewels, Swiss Made” and is in 90% mint condition – small marks
Case – the movement comes in a gold plated full hunter case, which has a hinged inner, back and front cover. The front cover pops open crisply to 90 degrees when you press the winder in. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition – a very clean case but there is a small dark spot om the front cover.
Dial – the double sunk, white enamel dial has a full set of hands and is signed “Renown, Swiss Made”. The dial is in 100% mint condition
The watch has a mineral glass
The watch measures 50mm wide x 13mm deep
The watch is stem wound / stem set
The watch comes in a period leather box lined with velvet and silk.
