This is a beautiful example of a 16 size 17 Jewel hunter pocket watch by Waltham Watch Co, USA made c1903
Movement – the good quality nickel bridge movement has a lever escapement with a micrometer regulator. The movement has raised gold jewel settings, gold train wheels and is decorated with damascening. The movement is signed “A.W.W.Co, Waltham, Mass, Royal, 17 Jewels, Adjusted” # 12680586.
The movement is in 95% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a gold plated Keystone hunter case, which has a hinged inner, back and front cover. The front cover pops open crisply to 90 degrees when you press the winder in. The case has beaded edges and is profusely decorated with a combination of engine turning and floral engraving. The case is in 95% mint condition – a beautiful example
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “Waltham”. The dial is in 95% mint condition – a forked hairline cluster at the 11.
