This is a solid 14K gold IWC pocket watch which has been discounted in price due to the fact that the tip of the minute hand is missing.
Movement – the gilt bridge calibre 73 movement has a lever escapement, a micrometer regulator and is jewelled to the centre with 17 Jewels. The movement is signed “IWC, Probus, Scafusia, 894649” and is in 99% mint condition – a superb example
Case – the movement comes in a 14K gold case, which has a hinged inner, back and snap on bezel. Both the inner and outer covers are stamped 14K – many gold IWC watches have a metal inner cover. The gold inner cover is signed “International Watch Co, Schaffhausen” and the inside of the outer is signed IWC, Probus, Scafusia” The case is decorated with beautiful floral engraving and engine turning on the back. The case is in 99% mint condition – pristine
Dial – the gilt metal dial has gold coloured raised numerals with a smooth plain finish and gilt hands. The dial is signed “International Watch Co, Schaffhausen” and is in 95% mint condition – the tip of the minute hand has broken off and is missing – which is reflected in the price
