This is a solid 14K gold IWC pocket watch which comes with its original International Watch Co box
Movement – the gilt bridge calibre 73 movement has a lever escapement, a micrometer regulator and is jewelled to the centre with 17 Jewels. The movement is signed “IWC, Probus, Scafusia, 791079” and is in 99% mint condition – a superb example
Case – the movement comes in a 14K gold case, which has a hinged inner, back and snap on bezel. Both the inner and outer covers are stamped 14K – many gold IWC watches have a metal inner cover. The gold inner cover is signed “International Watch Co, Schaffhausen” and the inside of the outer is signed IWC, Probus, Scafusia” The case is decorated with fine straight line engraving and the rest of the case has a smooth plain finish. The case is in 95% mint condition – super sharp case
Dial – the gilt metal dial has gold coloured raised numerals with a smooth plain finish and gilt hands. The dial is signed “International Watch Co, Schaffhausen” and is in 95% mint condition - the tip of the minute hand has some rust and the 7 is tarnished
The watch has a mineral glass
The watch measures 51mm wide x 9mm deep
The watch is stem wound / stem set
The watch comes in its original leather box signed “International Watch Co” on the outside and also on the brown silk inside. The box is in excellent condition but please note that the hook is a little looose
