This is a Swiss pocket watch made by a particularly good maker, H. Capt, Geneva.
Movement – the gilt bridge movement has a cylinder escapement and is signed “H. Capt, Geneve”. The movement is in 95% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in an 18K gold open face case, which has a hinged inner, back and bezel. The case is decorated with seed pearls on the back edge of the case and bezel, pendant and bow. The back of the case is decorated with brushed gold with carved flowers in high relief and some are in blue enamel. There is a small round plaque with a white enamel fleur de lis with a blue enamel surround. There is also an oval plaque decorated with high quality enamel of a two masted sailing ship and large country house. The case is in 95% mint condition – 1 small pearl is missing from the front of the pendant and very light enamel loss on some of the blue enamel
Dial – the white enamel dial has a pair of gilt hands, is signed “H. Capt, Geneve” and is in 100% mint condition
The watch comes in a period leather box
The watch measures 33mm wide x 9mm deep
The watch is key wound / key set and comes with a key
