This is a Swiss ladies pocket watch or “fob watch” made circa 1910.
The watch is perfect to be worn as a pendant. The stem and bow turn 360 degrees, allowing you to hang the watch on a chain and show either the dial or the back.
The case has clear assay marks for 18K
Movement - the small nickel bridge movement has a lever escapement. It is signed “Adjusted” and numbered 111649 and is in 90% mint condition – small marks and scratches
Case – the movement comes in a beautiful 18K gold case, which has a hinged bezel, back and cover.
The inner cover is decorated with red guilloche enamel
The back cover is cast and then decorated with flowers and leaves in high relief in the Art Nouveau style. The two flowers are then set with large diamonds. The case is then pierced so that the red enamel on the inner cover is visible through the gold back cover and acts as a contrast to the gold.
The case also has a carved suspension loop which will rotate a full 360 degrees
The case is in 90% mint condition – there is a small repair on one leaf on the back. The rest of the case including the guilloche enamel
Dial – the white enamel dial has red enamel numbers and beautiful gilt filigree hands and a blue steel sub seconds hand. The dial is in 100% mint condition
The watch has a bevelled mineral glass.
The watch is stem wound / stem set
The watch measures 40mm long from the bow to the edge of the dial x 26mm wide x 12mm deep.
The watch comes in a luxurious vintage velvet box. The box is not original to the watch but is a suitable presentation box
