This is a beautiful ladies pendant want in lovely condition and top quality.
It has its original brooch / pin and box
It was made in Switzerland circa 1890 – 1900 by Golay.
Movement – the top quality nickel bridge movement has a cylinder escapement and is 95% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a ladies fob watch case, which has a hinged inner, back and bezel. The inner cover is signed: “No 24793, Golay & Fils & Stahl, Geneve 2 Rueda La Paix, Paris:.
The inside of the back cover and inner cover are stamped 18K
The case is decorated on the back with three bright cut diamonds forming a clover. This is set against a background of green guilloche enamel. The back and front bezels are set with seed pearls. The rest of the case has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition – a small blemish to the enamel on one side; the rest of the case is as new
Dial – the white enamel dial has a pair of gilt filigree hands and is in 100% mint condition
The watch is stem wound / pin set
The watch has a mineral glass
The watch measures 21mm wide. The watch measures 32mm long inc winder and when hanging on the pendant, it measures 57mm long
Brooch / pin – this is the original brooch which accompanied the watch allowing it to be worn as a piece of jewellery. It can of course be removed from the brooch and be worn as a pendant. The brooch is in the from of a knot and decorated with the same green guilloche enamel. It is set with a diamond in the centre and also one on the drop.
The brooch measures 33mm wide and is in 100% mint condition
The watch and brooch come in there original green velvet box with double doors and a strut on the back
