This is a large gold pocket watch by the famous Swiss firm Vacheron & Constantin. This watch was made for the American market. It comes in a massive gold case and has a rare fancy enamel dial.
Movement – the high grade nickel bridge movement has a lever escapement with a patented micrometer regulator. The movement has a capped lever, escape wheel, wolf teeth winding wheels and is jewelled to the centre. The movement is decorated with damascening and is signed “Vacheron & Constantin, Switzerland, Adjusted” # 292171. The movement is in 95% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a massive 14K gold US Warranted case by O.R. & V.
The case has a front bezel which opens when you press the winder down, revealing the inner bezel and the lever set. The case is decorated with coin edged sides, engine turning and a vacant crest. The heavy gauge case has a scroll monogram to the rear and is in 100% mint condition
Dial – the white enamel dial has blue enamel numbers on the main dial and also on the subsidiary seconds dial. The watch has gold and silver enamel flowers and points. The dial is signed “Vacheron & Constantin” and is in 100% mint condition
