This is a classic Art Deco style pocket watch. The watch is of much higher quality than usual and is in also perfect condition showing virtually no wear at all
Please note that at the time of listing this watch there is over £700 worth of gold in the case alone.
Movement – the high grade nickel bridge movement has a lever escapement, a micrometer regulator, gold capped escape wheel and lever, gold jewel settings, gold train wheels and with a gold set jewel on the winding wheel. The movement is signed “Hamilton Lancaster, Pa, Made in USA, 922, 23 Jewels, Adj 5 positions” # 3000185. The movement is in 95% mint condition – superb condition with just some small marks on the winding wheels
Case – the movement comes in a top quality, solid 14K gold open face case, which has a hinged inner, back and snap on bezel. The inside of the back cover is engraved “Hamilton Watch Co, Lancaster Pa” The case has a richly chased sides and a carved bow. The back has a smooth plain finish and the case is in 99% mint condition – practically unused apart from the lightest of fine surface scratches on the mirror finish on the back.
Dial – the silvered dial has raised gold coloured numerals and a full set of stylish blue steel hands. The dial has a brushed matt finish and is signed “Hamilton”. The dial is in 98% mint condition – 2 tiny marks only
