The movement was made by Waltham, USA circa 1908. It was then sent to England where it was cased and sold.
Movement – the gilt ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and is signed “Marquis, Waltham, Mass, 15 Jewels” #19267201. The movement is in 95% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in an English gold plated half hunter case by Dennison which has a hinged inner, back and front cover. The front cover pops open to 90 degrees when you press the winder in. The case has blue enamel Roman numerals on the front. The rest of the case has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition – Superb condition
Dial – the white enamel dial has a pair of gilt hands and a blue steel sub seconds hand. It is unsigned and is in 100% mint condition
The watch has a mineral glass over the dial and a mineral one in the front cover
The watch is stem wound / stem set
The watch measures 52mm wide x 13mm deep
It comes in a vintage leather box lined with silk and velvet and signed by the original retailer; Sandeman, Liverpool
