This pocket watch was made by J W Benson of London in their Swiss factory. The movement watch was sent back to England where it was cased and sold. It comes in a top quality English silver case which has clear hallmarks for London 1935

Movement – this is a good quality gilt ¾ plate movement which has a lever escapement and is signed “J W Benson, 15 Jewels Swiss Made”. The movement is in 95% mint condition

Case – the movement comes in a good English silver Half Hunter case by J W Benson with coronation hallmarks for Edward VIII. The case has a hinged inner, back and front cover and the front cover pops open crisply to 80 degrees when you press the winder in and the needs to be opened to the full 90 degree position. The case has blue enamel Roman numbers on the front cover. The case has a smooth plain finish. The case is in 80% mint condition – the bow has been replaced and is slightly brass and the back cover has a few bruises, scratches and a ding on the side

Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “J W Benson, Swiss Made” The dial is in 99% mint condition.

The watch measures 52mm wide

The watch is stem wound / stem Set.

The watch has a synthetic glass.

The watch comes in its original blue leather box lined with cream silk and velvet and signed “J W Benson”. The box is in excellent condition
