This is an American pocket watch made circa 1914
Movement – the gilt ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and is signed “Marquis, Waltham, Mass, 15 Jewels” # 19393017and is in 95% mint condition – superb condition
Case – the movement comes in a Gold Plated Half Hunter case by Denison, which has a hinged inner, back and front cover. The front cover pops open crisply to 45 degrees when you press the winder in and the needs to be lifted open to the full 90. The case has dark blue enamel numbers on the front cover. The rest of the case is decorated with engine turning. The case is in 95% mint condition – a superb example
Dial – the white enamel dial has a pair of gilt half hunter hands and a blue steel sub seconds hand. The dial is signed “Harris and Waddington, Uxbridge” and is in 95% mint condition – a very faint hairline on the 7-8
The watch is stem wound / stem set
The watch measures 51mm wide.
The watch has a synthetic glass over the dial and a mineral one in the front cover
