This pocket watch was made by the French maker, Gabriel Courieult who made a clock for Marie Antoinette
The watch has French gold touche marks. The watch runs the full length of its chain keeping time to within 10 minutes a day.
Movement – the gilt full plate verge fusee movement has a pierced watch cock with a silvered regulator disc. The movement is signed “Courieult a Paris, No 938” and is in 95% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in an 18K gold open face case, which has a hinged bezel and where the watch is wound and set from the front and swings out from the front also.
The case is decorated with intricate borders of alternating rose and green gold on the front and back. The back of the case is decorated with fine engine turning and the case is in 95% mint condition.
Dial – the white enamel dial has a fine pair of gold hands and is in 95% mint condition – 1 fine hairline in the centre to the 10

The watch measures 39mm wide x 17mm deep
