This is a lovely example of an early fusee pocket watch movement.
The movement is key wound / key set
The movement has a good balance and chain but the balance will swings once or twice and then stop
Movement – the gilt full plate fusee movement has a lever escapement and has a gold 3 arm balance. The movement is signed “Mangan, Cork, No 358”. The movement is in 95% mint condition – small marks only
Dial – the white enamel dial has NO hands. The dial is signed “Mangan, Cork” and is in 90% mint condition – a faint but long hairline by the 5 to the sub seconds and centre and a smaller hairline on the edge between the 9 and 10
The movement measures 47mm wide x 12mm deep
