The movement was made by Waltham, USA circa 1916. It was then sent to England where it was cased and sold.
Movement – the gilt ¾ plate seven movement has a lever escapement and is signed “American Waltham, USA, Traveller” # 20764983. The movement is in 85% mint condition – a few spots on the gilding. These are purely cosmetic and do not effect the performance
Case – the movement comes in an English gold plated half hunter case by Dennison which has a hinged inner, back and front cover. The front cover pops open to 90 degrees when you press the winder in. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 90% mint condition – some light surface scratches on the back and a small shallow bruise
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands. It is signed “Waltham, USA” and is in 100% mint condition
The watch has a synthetic glass
The watch is stem wound / stem set
The watch measures 50mm wide x 13mm deep
