This is a Victorian gilt metal pocket watch key which was made circa 1850
The key has a shield shaped base set with a yellow foil backed glass stone.
The key tapers upwards with carved detailing and has two suspension loops which would have been attached to a watch chain with a V end – the two ends would then be attached to the key
The pocket watch key has a steel winding end which is a size 1-2 and is covered with a gilt sleeve.
The key measures 22mm x 9mm x 8mm
The key is in 95% mint condition – light wear only
