This watch has a good balance but the mainspring is faulty and slipping and so will only work for a short while and then stops

This pocket watch was made in Switzerland and sent to England where it was retailed by Bravingtons. It was then sequestered for military use during WW2

Movement – Gilt ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and is signed “15 Jewels, Swiss Made”. The movement is in 99% mint condition – a superb example once you have the mainspring sorted

Case – the movement comes in a white metal open face case, which has a screw off back and bezel. The case has milled sides with a smooth plain finish on the rest of the case. The case is engraved “HS5” 5060 Bravingtons” and also features the government issue broad arrow. The case is in 90% mint condition – there are many fine scratches resulting in a full finish on the back

Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “Swiss Made” 

The dial is in 100% mint condition

The watch has a bevelled mineral glass

The watch measures 51mm wide x 13mm deep

The watch is stem wound / stem set
