This is actually a FRENCH made watch but used by the Royal Artillery during WW1
Movement – the high quality gilt movement has a lever escapement with a micrometer regulator and screw jewel settings. A MUCH HIGHER QUALITY than normally found on these military watches. The movement has the Paul Garnier trade mark and is in 95% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a metal open face case, which has a hinged inner, back and snap on bezel. The inner is signed “Paul Garnier, Horloger de la Marine, Paris”.
The back cover is engraved with a military issue arrow, 89033 H and also R.A.
The rest of the case has a smooth plain finish and is in 80% mint condition
Dial – the matt black paint on metal dial has old luminous hands and is in 75% mint condition – damage on the 4
The watch has a plastic glass
The watch measures 50mm wide x 12mm deep
