This is an English silver pocket watch chain with clear hallmarks for Birmingham 1884
All parts are original bearing the same hallmark – the fob was a later addition, presumably when it was won
The chain measures 310mm in length from the T bar to the dog clip and is made up of a fancy long link and curb links – 5mm wide at its widest point.
Hanging from the T bar is an additional length of chain from which hangs a silver fob.
This is engraved with “19th Royal Fusilers, Inter Company Competition ON THE SOMME September 1916 Winners”. On the back there is a list of No 4 company winners.
The chain weighs 35g in total inc fob
The chain and fob are in 95% mint condition
