This is a single owner collection of fine examples of verge watch cocks.
Each cock has been mounted on a relatively recent made custom board with black leather trim and lined with velvet.
The board measures 550mm high x 400mm wide. I have included an image of my hand to give an idea of scale as this is a big piece.
The collection has one example from mid 1750s. The rest of the cocks are circa 1790 – 1810 and feature many examples of rare spiral and circle patterns.
61 cocks are in 100% mint condition, 3 are in 95% mint condition
