This is a cut steel pocket watch chain made circa 1770 and would make a very interesting bracelet
This is a cut steel chain made from a series of panels of 3 long links.
At each end of the chain is a split ring. Attached to one is a cut steel seal with a U or LL initial. This measures 27mm x 22mm x 20mm.
The chain measures 220mm from end to end x 12mm wide on the links x 16mm wide on the widest split ring.
The chain is in 80% condition – the usual pitting found on cut steel with some small patches of rust also.
