Georgian gilt cased seal with LOVE BIRDS and BIRD BATH intaglio c1820

This is seal was designed to be used with hot wax for sealing letters.

I have made an impression of this seal using hot wax to show that the seal works as intended and also to give a clearer image of the intaglio.

The wax impression comes in a small plastic case and is included with the seal.

This is a VERY SMALL seal fob made circa 1820 and would make a lovely charm or if grouped with some other pieces, it could make a very interesting pendant.

This is a Georgian gilt metal seal.

The seal is set with a white agates stone engraved with an intaglio of two love birds in a bird bath

The gilt seal has an ornate carved shank and handle decorated topped with a carved suspension ring. 

The seal measures 13mm x 8mm – this is TINY

The seal is 90% mint condition – the metal is coming through the gilding in places
