This is an unmounted stone with intaglio.
It is made of glass and was designed to be inserted into a seal shank or desk seal and used with hot wax for sealing letters.
I have made an impression of this seal using hot wax to show that the seal works as intended and also to give a clearer image of the intaglios
The wax impression comes in a small plastic case and are included with the seal.
This is a very small round black stone with bevelled edges.
On one side there is an intaglio of a wishing well and the word Fare – “FARE WELL”
The stone measures 9.2mm x 1.7mm
The stone is in 95% mint condition
