This is a Swiss pocket watch made circa 1880
Movement – the nickel bridge movement has a cylinder escapement and signed “GT Patent” The movement is in 85% mint condition – some scratches
The movement is protected by a glass cover held in place by a white metal bezel.
Case – the movement comes in a white metal open face case, which has a hinged back and snap on bezel. The inside of the back cover is signed “GT”. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 90% mint condition – light wear and small marks
Dial – the white enamel dial is painted with flowers. In the centre of the dial are three apertures which reveal the passing hours and minutes. These “jump” into place every time the minutes or hours change. Below is a subsidiary seconds. The dial is signed “Systeme GT Brevete” and is in 85% mint condition – some light hairlines
The watch has a bevelled mineral glass
The watch is stem wound / pin set
The watch measures 50mm wide x 19mm deep
