This is a Victorian pocket watch key
The gold on metal pocket watch key has a long flared body decorated with engraving and has a suspension loop in the middle – this rotates a full 360 degrees.
The key has a flared shield shaped base set with a green blood stone.
The other end of the key has a metal core covered with a gilt sleeve and is a size 0-1.
Then the end of another key has been placed over the winding end so that the whole key now becomes a T bar for a pocket watch chain. This additional cap is gold on metal and set with a foil backed red glass stone
The whole piece inc the cap measures 50mm x 8mm x 7mm and is in 85% mint condition – some small splits in the gold sleeve
