This is an early 19th century pocket watch stand made of one piece of wood decorated with carved edges and scrolls. In front in relief are the figures of a putto holding a seal. Above is the round carved aperture which is lined with velvet and which will hold the super slim watches of the early 1800’s i.e. Breguet. The stand sits on a weighted wooden base. The stand measures 370mm high x 200mm wide x 85mm deep. The stand is in 95% mint condition – honest loss of gilding in places and a small crack on the base.
